The PCS is a patented, lid-closure system employing a hooking cam which rotates to engage an overhead latch which pulls the lid down onto the tray compartment with increasing force to compress the foam liners of the tray around the contents. The latching system will completely close the lid by simply turning either of the handles located near each end of the box. The toolbox lid and padded tray have separate locking systems, so the toolbox lid can be opened with the padded lid remaining opened or closed.
